Destin 2014!!!

We had our annual Destin trip.  The weather was perfect, the beach was amazing as always.  We got to visit with my Dad, drove go karts and celebrated the boys birthday.  Another wonderful vacation that didn't last long enough!

Itty Bitty baby grins

God gives you these little first smiles just when you think you can't handle getting up every 2 hours anymore.  It is always just what I need to pull through a little while longer.

Asa is such a happy baby and a good baby.  He is growing fast is 7 weeks old and already over 10 lbs! His brothers love him so much.  They are always wanting to hug and kiss him and hold him.  Elijah can't get enough of him and still doesn't quite understand being gentle with Asa, so I have to constantly watch him.

I am so proud of Jackson who just completed his first year of cub scouts.  He earned his bobcat and tiger badge and won 2nd place in the pinewood derby race.

Look how proud he is about 2nd place.

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas...

Sorry, I have been very slack at updated this blog and pictures.   So I decided to bundle the last 3 events in one here you go.

Halloween:

Jackson and Chris went on their first cub scout camp out that month so Jackson missed the fall festival at church for the first time this year.  Although he didn't seem to mind. Something about shooting a bow and BB gun made up for it!  We took Elijah and cousin Brentley to the festival.  Elijah loved all of  the bounce houses and went on a giant firetruck slide with no fear all by himself! On Halloween night we took all of the boys around our neighborhood for trick or treat and they had fun, we finished up with a nice chili dinner with the whole family.

Thanksgiving:

We were going to be different this year and have dinner at MiMi and Pop Pops instead of at our house. Poor PopPop came down with the flu and we had to go back to having it at our house.  It worked out well for being done last minute but we really missed having MiMi and Pop Pop here.  We had indian and pilgrim hats and the kids decorated a mayflower cake. Lots of fun had by all, and of course lots of good eats!

Christmas:

We had the whole family back together, no one was sick! We had lots of presents and lots of fun! Brunch was great, as usual, our family knows how to do good food.
